Philippines - Whale Watch
Pamilacan Island has long been a base for whale hunting. A key
element in stopping this is the provision of another source of income for
those concerned. Whale watching is now attracting tourists to the island
and this could offer the alternative livelihood that is required. The plan
is to establish a community run whaling museum for educational and tourism
purposes.
