MARINE PROTECTED AREAS FOR CETACEANS - PROPOSED AND EXISTING.

Are you involved in the planning, research, or other aspect of a marine protected area that features or includes cetaceans? If so, the UK-based Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) is preparing a compendium of the cetacean protection sites worldwide that have been proposed, or already approved. By contacting us, we can help:

Give a higher profile to the reserve proposal or the reserve, and to cetacean research that is being conducted there. Facilitate exchange of research, management and other ideas between reserve managers, scientists, NGOs and others.
To be included, please contact WDCS consultant Erich Hoyt at
e-mail: ehoyt@compuserve.com
FAX: +44 1620 895 257
for a survey form.
He will give you an address to send background information, management plans, or proposals.
